1. Madhya Pradesh has been awarded the National Greentech CSR (Corporate-Social Responsibility) Gold Award -2014 for its important services to those people who live in the forest areas and the development and protection of the environment.
मध्य प्रदेश को पर्यावरण के विकास तथा संरक्षण के अलावा वन क्षेत्र में रहने वालों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किए जाने पर राष्ट्रीय ग्रीनटेक सी एस आर (कार्पोरेट-सोशल रिस्पांसिबिलिटी) गोल्ड अवार्ड-2014 से सम्मानित किया गया है।
2. Serena Williams won her 19th Grand Slam title, continued her unbeaten run in six Australian Open finals and extended her decade-long domination of Maria Sharapova with a commanding 6-3, 7-6 (5) win.
सेरेना विलियम्स ने दूसरी वरीयता प्राप्त मारिया शारापोवा को सीधे सेटों में 6-3, 7-6 (5) से हराकर ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन टेनिस चैंपियनशिप में महिला एकल खिताब जीता। सेरेना ने यह खिताब छठीं बार हासिल किया, यह उनका 19वां ग्रैंड स्लैम खिताब है।
3. The first forex hub of the Mumbai- headquartered Central Bank of India in Gujarat was opened at Urmi Char rasta to provide prompt and efficient services to importers and exporters. Ramesh Singh, General Manager, Treasury & International division, Central Bank of India inaugurated this forex hub which is fully equipped with necessary infrastructure such as swift facility, fax Internet etc besides trained staff.
सेंट्रल बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का पहला विदेशी मुद्रा विनिमय केंद्र गुजरात में खुला ताकि आयातकों और निर्यातकों को तुरंत और दक्ष सेवाएं मुहैया कराई जा सकें। सेंट्रल बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के महाप्रबंधक (ट्रेजरी और अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रभाग) रमेश सिंह ने इस विदेशी मुद्रा केंद्र का उद्घाटन किया जो प्रशिक्षित कर्मचारियों के साथ साथ बेहतर सुविधायें, फैक्स इंटरनेट जैसे आवश्यक बुनियादी ढांचे से लैस है।
4. T. Suvarna Raju took over as the 17th chairman of the state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), following his predecessor R.K. Tyagi's retirement.
टी. सुवर्ना राजू ने हिंदुस्ताान एयरोनोटिक्सc लिमिटेड के नए चेयरमैन का पद संभाल लिया है। डॉ. आर.के. त्याटगी के सेवानिवृत्तr होने के बाद राजू ने यह पद संभाला है।
5. Japan launched a backup information gathering satellite (IGS), the country`s first launch of this year. The satellite is equipped with a radar spy instrument capable of peering through clouds, darkness and camouflage to obtain high-resolution imagery of the Earth`s surface. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. launched the spy satellite aboard a H-2A rocket from Tanegashima Space Centre in Kagoshima prefecture.
जापान ने खुफिया जानकारी जुटाने के लिए एक उपग्रह इनफार्मेशन गैदरिंग सैटेलाइट (आईजीएस) लांच किया। इस साल जापान ने यह पहला उपग्रह छो़डा है। इस उपग्रह में एक ऐसा राडार लगा हुआ है, जो बादल, अंधेरे और छलावरण को भेदकर पृथ्वी के सतह की उच्चा रिजोल्यूशन वाली छवि उतारने में सक्षम है। जापान एयरोस्पेस एक्सप्लोरेशन एजेंसी (जेएएक्सए) और मित्शुबिशी हेवी इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड ने कागोशिमा प्रांत के तानेगाशिमा अंतरिक्ष केंद्र से एच-2ए रॉकेट की मदद से इस खुफिया उपग्रह को छो़डा।
6. Padma Vibhushan recipient and tragedy king of Bollywood Dilip Kumar was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Indian cinema. Actor Anupam Kher accepted the award on Kumar’s behalf from the Jaipur International Film Festival (Jiff) organising team.

7. Leander Peas and his Swiss teammate Martina Hingis lifted the Mixed Doubles trophy of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season. The seventh seeded pair defeated the higher placed Canadian-French team of Daniel Nestor and Kristina Mladenovic, in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
भारत के लिएंडर पेस और स्विटजरलैंड की मार्टिना हिंगिस की जोड़ी ने ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन का मिक्स्ड डबल्स का खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया है। इस जोड़ी ने फाइनल मुकाबले में क्रिस्टीना और डेनियल नेस्टर की जोड़ी को 6-4, 6-3 से मात दी।
8. World No.1 Novak Djokovic (Serbia) won the 2015 Australian Open singles title. He defeated Britain’s Andy Murray by 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-0 in the final. With this title win Djokovic has now won five Australian Open titles.
विश्व के न. 1 पुरुष टेनिस खिलाड़ी सर्बिया के नोवाक जोकोविच ने वर्ष 2015 के ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन का पुरुष एकल खिताब जीत लिया। उन्होंने फाइनल में ब्रिटेन के एण्डी मरे को 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-0 से पराजित कर दिया। यह जोकोविच के करियर का पाँचवां ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन पुरुष एकल खिताब था।
9. India launched its flagship diplomacy magazine in Chinese language to give “interesting” information about the country’s rich culture and tradition. This Chinese version ‘Yindu Shijiao’ was launched on the occasion of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj’s maiden visit to China. ‘India Perspectives’ is printed in 15 languages and is circulated in as many as 170 countries.
भारत के विदेश मंत्रालय ने अपनी राजनयिक पत्रिका के चीनी संस्करण को जारी किया। इस पत्रिका के माध्यम से भारत अपनी समृद्ध संस्कृति और परंपराओं के बारे में जानकारी प्रदान करता है। “इण्डिया पर्सपेक्टिव्स” पत्रिका के चीनी संस्करण का नाम “यिन्दु शिज़ियाओ” है तथा इसे भारतीय विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज के पहले चीनी दौरे के अवसर पर जारी किया गया है। उल्लेखनीय है कि “इण्डिया पर्सपेक्टिव्स” पत्रिका का प्रकाशन अंग्रेजी समेत 15 भाषाओं में होता है तथा इसे विश्व के लगभग 170 देशों में प्रसारित किया जाता है।
10. Dwayne Bravo, the West Indies all-rounder, has announced his retirement from Test cricket, but wants to continue representing the side in limited-overs games. Bravo had not played Tests since December 2010, and his decision comes after he lost the ODI captaincy to Jason Holder and was then axed from the one-day side for the tour of South Africa and also the World Cup.
वेस्टइंडीज की विश्व कप टीम से बाहर किये जाने के कुछ ही हफ्तों बाद ड्वेन ब्रावो ने टेस्ट क्रिकेट से अपने संन्यास की घोषणा कर दी। ऑलराउंडर खिलाड़ी ब्रावो ने 2010 के बाद से टेस्ट मैच नहीं खेले हैं। उन्हें दक्षिण अफ्रीका के दौरे के लिए वनडे टीम और विश्व कप की टीम में जगह नहीं दी गयी थी लेकिन 31 साल के खिलाड़ी अब भी सीमित ओवरों के मैचों में खेलना चाहते हैं।
